Maddie and Mommy time

Maddie and I went to Give me some sugar in the city today to learn to decorate cookies. We learned so much - they taught us how to make the cookies and the icing and then we learned how to do the icing. It was so cool

Phish concert

Kris made a last minute decision to head to the Phish concert. He bought tickets on Friday night for the Saturday show. Maddie had a party at her friends house so she didn't want to go. Kris talked Hailey into going with him.

Hailey has been saving every dime from her birthday, from moving, babysitting for a new phone. She was so determined that is what she wanted. It came on Friday. She was so excited!

First Cavities

Kaitlyn is terrified of the dentist - it is trying to get it done. We actually just switched dentists to see if someone else could be more patient with her. We went to a pediatric dentist and she is almost 7 and they had not done any X-rays yet because they could not get her to take them. We went to the new dentist and found out she had 3 cavities. Ugh....

We went to the new dentist a month or two ago and had to get sealants on her teeth and she freaked out and the gas did nothing to calm her, so they said we would try the oral sedation. We went in to do it, she had to drink it out of a cup. She threw it back like she was going to drink it and then spit it all over the floor. The hygienist looked at me and said we don't have more of that -we get that special from the pharmacy - ugh oh. She went back to the dentist - I guess they had something. They got her to drink it a little at a time and did the cavities and said she did great. She told me she really likes that dentist and she doesn't seem worried about going back - so after all that - a pretty good success!

Lost teeth

Kaitlyn is down 4 teeth - she has lost the sharky teeth - finally! She lost one tooth the night she went to the campout and then during the week she lost her 2 bottom shark teeth. We have both top and bottom front teeth gone! The teeth coming in are pretty large - not looking forward to the expander process with this one. She is terrified of the dentist

Indian Princesses Campout

Kris and Kaitlyn headed to the Indian Princess campout last weekend. They had a great time. I love that Kris does this with them. Maddie didn't want to go - so it was just Kris and KK

Blackout

Our 8th graders have a blackout game for their last home game. The 7th grade team is responsible for putting together the posters for the 8th graders, ordering the cake, decorating the gym, getting the flowers, all kinds of stuff.

I took on a challenge to make some special cookies. I had taken pictures of all the 8th graders with a frame so I used those pictures to make the cookies. I wasn't sure if I would get it done -but they turned out AWESOME!

Bulls Preseason Game

We had 4 tickets for Maddie and 4 tickets for Hailey for a preseason Bulls game from the camp they went to. We had 3 games to choose from - 1 was a Sunday afternoon (Hailey had a VB game), 1 was a Friday night (Hailey had a game) so our option was a Wednesday night game. Kris had an Indian Princess meeting so I was on my own. Each girl got to bring 2 girls since that was all that would fit in my car
