Time spent with friends

We had the honor of hanging out with the Bleskins this weekend. It was so great to see Esme and Emmett (and Marc and Aimee, of course). The kids had a great time playing with every single toy that Esme and Emmett have. They also decided the kitchen floor made a perfect playroom. We tried to capture some pics of the kids having fun.

Maddie was being a ham for the camera.

Cookies! YUM!

I think this was when the girls were screaming. Poor Emmett was like, What is going on?

Our attempt at the 3 girls

These 2 were really cute together

2nd attempt with the 3 girls - Maddie wasn't really having it. Emmett was already tucked in and on his way to slumberland.

Maddie was all about hugs for Aimee.

She doesn't have much hair

but her teachers thought this made it look like she did. No, not so much! It does make you smile though!

Madison and gloves

Madison has a new obsession with having something on her hands. It can be gloves or just a sock. She walks around the house with them on her hands.

My little peanut

Maddie went for her 15 month check up. We still can't turn her car seat around! She weighs in at 19 lbs, 7 ounces (6th percentile) and is 28.5 inches long (4th percentile). Everything is great - she is on track in everything. She got 3 shots - one of which was the chicken pox vaccine. We hope she doesn't have any adverse reactions to it.

The thing that amazes me is that she knows the minute we walk into the exam room, that she doesn't want to be there. She starts to cry immediately. Hailey was never that intuitive. We never experienced that with her. Maddie, starts howling and doesn't stop until we leave.

Hailey is such a great big sister. She tries to play peek-a-boo to distract her and make her happy. We're so lucky to have such healthy and loving daughters.

The girls woke up on Sunday and cozied up together to eat some cheerios and watch some cartoons.

Necklace and Bracelet

Hailey and I got crafty on Saturday morning and we made a bracelet and necklace. Hailey has been sporting them all weekend.

Hailey & cartoons

Hailey woke up the other night at 3:30. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, she doesn't just go back to sleep, she comes and knocks on our door. Our door is shut to keep Molly out, otherwise, it would be 3 to the bed and we only have a queen size bed. Anyway, at 3:30, she knocks on the door. First thing she says is, "I want to watch cartoons." I said, "Honey, its too early, there are no cartoons on yet. We need to sleep some more." Hailey's response "AWWWWW MAN! Will you tuck me back in?" I went back to sleep with a huge grin on my face.

What is the world coming to???

Seriously- before we went on vacation - Hailey told us she had a soy nut butter and jelly sandwich. Yes, you heard me correctly, SOY NUT BUTTER. Since she is at daycare and they are worried about peanut allergies, there are no peanut products - but who knew they had soy nut butter. When Kris went to the store yesterday, Hailey told him to get soy nut butter. He did and she is eating it right now. Now, she likes peanut butter and has no allergies to it, but since they eat soy nut butter at school. That is what she is eating!

Welcome home

We were happy to get away, but also really happy to get home to our girls. The best part was the sign that Hailey made for us and Hailey waiting up for us. Hailey waited up until almost 11:00pm on Friday night for us and she started screaming when our cab pulled in. Here are some pics of the sign and them with their new toys!

Girls

Girls had a great time with Nana and Papa for the week. Here are some of the things they got to do all week. Hailey got to get her nails painted by Monica (the girl who does my moms nails). They played outside and went to the grocery store. By the end of the week, Madison was saying Nana and Papa - so I know she had a great time. We are so lucky to have my parents who watched them for the week and allowed us to get away. Thanks Mom and Dad! Luckily, they are heading on their own vacation in another week (I think they might need it!)

Vacation

We made it back from vacation and are fully back to reality - it doesn't take long! Here are some pics of our vacation...
