Sunday was spent outdoors

We started by trying to ride a two wheeler. After this, we went and got this bar to attach to the back of her bike - it was much easier. The rest of the afternoon was her riding with us holding the bar behind her.

Girls decided to have a picnic outside on the blanket that I had Kaitlyn on

Then the girls took their blanket and pillow pets out. They watched a movie on my kindle fire

Hailey stayed out by herself for a while and watched another movie

The fresh air got to Maddie. Man, does that look uncomfortable!

Happy Birthday Papa and Michael

Saturday night we celebrated Papa and Michael's b-days. Papa's was Friday and Mike's will be this Wednesday.

Girls were excited to eat up at the bar

Love this picture of Maddie

Girls played outside - even with water - you'd think it was summer

We were laughing because Nana and Papa had pieces of the cake the night before for Papa's actual birthday. They were turning the eaten side so you couldn't see it!

We sang twice and the girls helped Papa blow out the candles

They also helped open present as well, of course

Starting on solids

Finally jumped in and fed Kaitlyn some rice cereal (laced with some prune juice). She seems to like the process of eating and is getting better at it each day.

Enjoying the weather for all its worth

We headed to the zoo

Kaitlyn checking things out

King of the hill!

Maddie was brave enough to barely brush the goats

Then Kaitlyn slept

Trip to the zoo is not complete without a carousel ride. Hailey insisted on the snow leopard and Maddie on the elephant. We were a ways away from each other.

On the way out we got a picture with the lion.

St Patricks Day at the IAHC

To celebrate St Patrick's day we go to the St. Patrick's Day festival at the Irish American Heritage Center. The girls always have a great time and we get to spend it with family and friends.

I was having a little fun with taking self portraits of me and the girls

The three musketeers (and Barb!). Yes, my dad is making a crazy face - that or one too many Guiness...

The girls had fun together - but they missed their bud Olivia who was sick. Bea is in the corner of one pic - pretty soon she will be joining in the fun!

Katie Rose and Mrs Cronin supplied some fun accessories. Hailey was especially fond of her hair extension. She told me thats how long she wants her hair - yeah, I don't think so!

Girls had fun with Nana and Papa. A usual sight is Maddie playing with Papa. They have the same personality. Kaitlyn took a snooze - unbelievably, while the Shannon Rovers were playing the bag pipes in the same room.

Some of the rest of the crew hanging out - we owe the wonderful table to Barb being there early and fighting off a priest and someone else who wanted a seat for their mother. Thanks Barb!

My dresses

I love making the girls dresses. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. Unfortunately, my time is pretty limited - especially since I have not even figured out how to fit working out into my crazy days. I made the girls their St Patrick's day dresses. Needless to say, based on my limited time, they were simple pillowcase dresses. They turned out really cute!
