1st Day of School

Wow - how did we get here so fast? My little one is heading off to all day 4 year old preschool. I think I was more nervous this morning than she was. Hailey was so excited. She had a brief moment, when she said, "I want you to come with me" when she was lining up, but I told her I couldn't and she lined up with all the other kids. Then I turned and left my baby at preschool.

Hailey insisted on pig tails this morning. The backpack looks huge, but the school requests that they have a normal size backpack to carry extra clothes and things like their art projects. It will be interesting to see how she likes her lunch. She chose everything - soy nut butter sandwich (with the crusts cut off, of course), strawberries, melon and grapes, a stick of cheese and chocolate milk box. Surprisingly, its actually pretty healthy. I was impressed by her choices.

Bathing suit

Maddie insisted this morning 5 minutes after getting up, that she needed to put her suit on. This was her attempt to put it on. That is the bottom of the suit on her head.

Good run

Kris' run always puts Hailey to sleep. Nice job Daddy! (Better him than me - that stroller is HEAVY!)

The bear

We went to Yorktown to get Hailey some new shoes for school. (I think we can get used to this back to school shopping!). When we walked in - Hailey said, "I have to give the bear a hug". Not sure what thats about, but I thought it was pretty funny

Jewelry

Madison and Hailey came up from the basement with Hailey saying, "Show Mommy!" and giggling. Apparently, Madison had on every piece of jewelry from their play jewelry box

Orientation

Hailey will be going to preschool this year. She was on the waitlist and we got the call a week ago that they had room for her! YEA! She will be going 3 full days a week, with before and aftercare at St Pius. The other 2 days she will continue to be at kindercare with her buddies. This past Thursday we got to go to orientation in the room to bring supplies, meet the teachers, play in the room, etc. Hailey was pretty shy, but I am sure she will be fine. She is so excited for her first day on Tuesday, she can't stop asking when she gets to go to her new school.

Karma II

Ok, I think the kid gets it - give her a break Karma! Madison was bit on the elbow today at school. Poor kid. She also apparently fell asleep at lunch at the table with a sippy cup in her mouth. Kid had a rough day!

Karma

You're a funny thing...Maddie was bit on the back today at school. When the teacher started to tell me, I thought, great, she bit someone, but when she told me she got bit, I laughed and said I guess its karma - she bit Hailey on the back yesterday. I only hope it will keep her from biting someone else again.

Little one bit the big one today - on the back. Maddie was not even phased by getting in trouble. I really hope she doesn't continue this...

Roll tide

I guess we have a new college team to support. Kris' Aunt Pam and Uncle Greg sent the girls entire Alabama outfits, so they are set for the season. Guess its a good time to get on the bandwagon since they are ranked #1!
