German Fest

We headed to German Fest at Sacred Heart.
Girls in line for the Ferris Wheel.  This was an epic event.  Last year, there were tears the whole ride.  This year, they loved it.
 Going with Daddy
We're just waiting and taking selfie's. I told Kaitlyn to smile. She's such a cutie
 Weeeee.....
Dad and the girls took their own selfie on the ferris wheel
The girls went on this - the scrambler and Maddie is crushed into Hailey.  She could not sit up it was spinning her into her sister.  We thought she hated it. She got off and said I loved it!
Sisters waiting for the Tilt a whirl

 Kaitlyn climbing and looking cute

Lets go back to the Ferris Wheel with our last ride tickets
 Solo trip
Kaitlyn kept looking up and pointing
Took a while to get on and off.  They had fun and we rode our bikes home and within 5 minutes it started downpouring.  A pretty nice night out with the fam.

Sissys messing around

Maddie and Daddy night

Hailey was at sports camp and Kris decided to take Maddie to German Fest.
Little Selfie

Maddie got to go fishing to get a prize (otherwise known as some piece of junk)

Ah, fests....

Sports Camp

Hailey's friend Keri told us about this sports camp.  It is Tuesday - Friday from 6pm-8:30pm for one week put on by the Christian Reformed Church in Lombard.  It is 4 nights of different sports - hockey, flag football, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, kickball mixed with some church. "The theme this year “Breaking Free” will highlight Confidence, Truth, Wisdom, Teamwork and Faith! These topics are presented using the combination of biblical examples and sports situations in a fun atmosphere that the kids will enjoy." The best part - its free. Hailey had a great time.

This was one of Hailey's coaches - she was put on the maroon team.  She had to wear this shirt each night.
They packed food.  The whole camp packed 10,000 meals which will be sent to Uganda
When I would pick her up they would be rocking out. They were singing, "My Redeemer lives." Was really glad she got to do this. It was a really nice camp and we saw a bunch of kids we know from soccer and other things from around Lombard.

Saturday night BBQ

We had some friends from St Pius over for a BBQ.  This other family and us both have 3 kids and they are all the same age.  Hailey and Ella are 1 day apart, Chloe and Maddie are 2 months apart and Gavin and Kaitlyn are 3 weeks apart.  We figure we're going to be spending a lot of time together.  Gavin was under the weather though, so he stayed home with his Grandma.  We also had another parent over whose family is in Michigan for a couple of weeks.

Chloe, Kaitlyn, Maddie, Ella and Hailey
 Lisa, Mike, Kris and Brad
The girls played on the swing set
Then dress up and dancing ensued.
 Ella and Hailey first
 then Chloe and Maddie

Brad -  The men broke out the Grand Marnier - not a good idea!
The girls would start with their robes on and then strip them off - not sure how I feel about that!
 They love the stage
 Props
 Ella and Hailey
Finished the night off watching a little tv.  It was a great night with new friends.  We look forward to many more!
