Sunday

Sunday, Emma and Lilly wanted to have a playdate, so Jessica was kind enough to offer to have the girls over.  They played for a couple of hours.  Jess captured some of the stuff they did.

Played outside on the swing set.  The swing set is in progress
Lilly, Emma and Hailey
 They had a tea party
Lilly and Hailey did not want to get dressed up so they were the servers

Maddie and Emma dressed up and I am pretty sure Maddie loved every second of it.

Then we headed to the Yacht club for dinner.  The girls desperately wanted to swim.  It was only in the 60's, but they did go in.  It didn't last long. Emma, Hailey and Lilly went in the big pool

Maddie and Kaitlyn played in the baby pool area which is full of toys
Maddie got in briefly.  She loves playing around by herself.

After dinner, there was some swinging - 2 of the big girls were in the little swings.

Saturday at Grandma's and Grandpa's

We headed down to Springfield to catch up with Grandma and Grandpa and to see the girls cousins.  There was a little barbeque at Grandma and Grandpa's on Saturday.
The day started with Kris taking some of the girls on a walk to the park
Kris napped while people were at the house
Little hug between cousins - Onaa and Kaitlyn - they are 6 months apart

 Emma and Hailey
Girls up to no good - playing on the elliptical like its a toy
Jessica brought jello so the girls could make jello jigglers with cookie cutters
Happy Birthday Grandpa - everyone singing
 Girls watching some spongebob
 Maddie apart from the crowd
Girls caught when I rounded the corner

Lilac Day Parade

Lilac Day Parade is kind of a big deal in Lombard.  The Indian Princesses have a float.  Their tribe and another tribe built this float.  The theme of the parade was the 70's, 80's and 90's.  You can see they built a slinky, pac man and a rubix cube that rotated.  Kris helped a couple of days this week to build it.

Maddie got to ride on the float

 The parade route
Kaitlyn and I hung out with some of the other moms to wait for our girls and their dads
Kaitlyn and Gavin.  They are less than a month apart
 The Jesse White tumblers
So, the Indian Princess Dads have markers and they mark you up.  I used to remember that I hated those people who would mark you up during the parade.  Kris is one of them now.  You can see them marking people.

Hailey is surprised to finally see us - we were towards the end of the route
Maddie was happy and then Kris took her off and handed her to me.  I had to walk 3/4 of a mile with her on my shoulders since I really wasn't planning on bringing her home.  He said she was getting too hot.  She looks pretty happy here!

 All marked up!

A little alteration

Hailey had the lilac day parade today and needed to wear her Indian Princess t-shirt.  She did not like the shirt and was refusing to wear it.  I said how can we make it better - well, we fringed it and put beads on it.  She loves it and lots of other girls did too - she made a new fashion statement and they all want to do it now!

Kaitlyn found a new toy

and little trouble loves it.  I brought it down from the girls room and she just rocked and rocked.

Friend Party

Sassy birthday girl at her party - all the girls got crowns too
 Maddie happy to get included
 Sisters!
The party crew in their tshirts
The backs (not the greatest picture - I didn't do a whole lot of directing on this one)
 We are ready to bowl!
Haileys first frame - she ended up shooting a 114 - thank goodness for bumpers
 She was celebrating a strike!
Her friend Mary broke her arm, so we had a ramp for her.  The girls loved to help her.  She had her own posse
I was lazy and just put red velvet cupcakes (Hailey's choice) together to form a 7.
She was not happy with me in this picture -can you tell?

My mom was a godsend and chased Kaitlyn around the whole time.  Here the little devil is enjoying a cupcake.

All in all - a successful bowling party!
