Little getaway

We went out shopping on Saturday and completely surprised the girls when we parked at the Westin hotel in Lombard.  We told them we were going to a home show there and then we told them we were staying overnight and going swimming.  They were excited

Happy birthday to the greatest man I know- my dad! 

The man who taught me to be strong and stand up for myself, taught me to work hard and good things will happen, taught me that life's not fair and to get over it, made fun of me as a teenager when I said like with every sentence and swore I would thank him when I was older for breaking me of that habit - thank you! 

Thank you for everything you do for my family and for loving the girls. They adore you.! Happy Birthday Old Geez!

Flat Stanley

Instead of sending Flat Stanley to someone - Kris took him on a couple of work trips.  This one will be the most popular one.  While in Pennsylvania, Kris was in Hershey and went to Chocolate world.  Flat Stanley even got some chocolate for Maddie's class.  I think she will be a hit!

Uniforms

Pretty hilarious - Hailey got her uniform for her basketball team and they are HUGE.  I said she got a set of capris and a dress

Pius Signs

We went to the 8th grade championship to watch their game.  They won for the 3rd year in a row.  It was fun to watch.  Our next door neighbor is on the team and babysits the girls.  She is the youngest and they had these signs they brought to the games.  Their mom said she was passing them down to us for us to carry the torch.

Hailey's basketball team made it to the championship game and it was an exciting game

 Their little team -they got second place - it was a hard fought battle and a definite look of amazing things to come.  4 of this team will be playing club basketball in this off season -so it will be fun to see them grow

Maddie's last game for the park district basketball team was this weekend

She got a medal for playing the season.  It was a fun season and she got better each game

Hailey's basketball coach

Hailey's school basketball is in the playoffs where they are eliminated if they lose.  This weekend they won against a hard team and will advance to the championship game.  Here their awesome coach (who does not have a daughter on the team) is giving them jamba juice after the game

Club basketball

Last weekend Hailey tried out for a club basketball team - she will be playing for Illinois Lady Lightning from now until July.  She is pretty excited and trying to get her dad to put a basketball hoop in the front of the house

Picnic

Kaitlyn decided she and Kris needed a picnic on Sunday.  Saturday night she set out to pack all the stuff and Sunday she insisted they have their picnic
