Getting real

We have our first set of plans for the house we are building.  Its making this all the more real

Friends get together

On Sunday, Keith, Amanda, Andy and Erin and their kids all came over to the house.
The kids had fun on the swing set
We made bottles of wine the last time we were in Napa last year.  We brought all 4 bottles together again and did a blind testing to see whose wine we liked the best
Everyone got 1 glass of each
Keith made notes and read them to us
His wine had the most votes
 Playing outside
 Keith was the big kid
We walked over to where our new house is supposed to be
Maddie was obsessed with Kate.  Kate would actually listen to Maddie and Maddie was in heaven

Skating party

There was a skating party for the kindergartners.  Maddie is not too strong on skates

Lilac Day Parade

The girls managed to finagle a sleepover - so they all got ready for the parade together.  We had the 2 little ones and the 2 older ones went to their house
 Hailey, Ella, Chloe and Maddie

Float had a slide like the waterslide at Paradise Bay, the Lombard Water tower (that spun) and the church on Main

They went down the slide during the parade

I think this one was tired about this time
Just marked up my face - thats what that grin is about!

These two chilling out after the parade.  They said it was their sleepover!

Haileys Birthday Dinner

Hailey's birthday dinner was delayed until this weekend and we headed to Uncle Julios, where she has of all things - chicken tenders.  She loves the dough they give you to play with

Then we rode our bikes to DQ

Painting the float

The girls helped with the Lilac day parade float for the Indian Princesses.

The theme was all about Lombard and this was their replica of the church on Main street

Happy 9th Birthday Hailey

I cannot believe this girl is 9!
She's sweet yet sassy, has the biggest heart and is the first to comfort her baby sister. She's smart and confident and I am amazed at the kid she is becoming (in spite of the parenting- since she is the first kid and the one we have been practicing on!)
Happy 9th birthday Hailey!

Decorated her room so she would wake up and feel special.  She was sad Dad was out of town
 New computer
 Presents to open first thing
 When I woke her up
 Saw her computer

After school Nana came over to see her girl and bring more presents
The red velvet cake she picked out.  It was a quick turn around because she had soccer practice

Kaitlyn was trying to blow out her candle- Hailey was having none of that
