Sunday Funday

Randomness
Maddie asked me to take this picture - Kaitlyn looks like the big sister
First time with piggie tails
Everybody got in on the action
They like dancing around to see their piggy tails jump

Spent some time outside.  Kaitlyn could walk up and down the block all day
Kris took Hailey and Maddie to the park
Kaitlyn was being a goof - dancing around with sunglass on upside down

Hailey's new bike

Hailey has been riding a 20" bike at Nana and Papas and therefore her 16" has become obsolete for her.  Nana and Papa got her a new 20" bike for her birthday (a little early so she can ride it).  She got to go out with Nana on Saturday and pick it out

She rode it all day Saturday when it was quite chilly out and then again on Sunday. She even rode alongside Kris while he ran.

Bathroom

Getting excited - it is coming along
Papa is almost done with the plumbing

We think we picked out all our tile - this is the floor and shower floor
 Walls
and accent tile. We have lots of pieces (all the stuff for the shower, steam unit, etc) being delivered last week and this.  Getting excited to see bits and pieces of everything.  Papa is getting excited because he is almost done with the crazy plumbing.  He has replaced and is replacing a lot of the old pipes and taking out pipes that go nowhere.

Our exciting Saturday night

We headed to dinner.  Kaitlyn cracked me up with how hard she concentrates while coloring

Maddie fell asleep on the way to the restaurant
 Its tough work
When we got home Kris started acting like a zombie and jumping out and scaring the girls.  There was a lot of screaming going on

Happy Birthday Papa

We love you very much and so thankful you are in our lives and the girls lives.

Kaitlyn

Bruiser decided she wanted to try and climb down the stairs carrying a chair.  Kaitlyns face lost the battle. She and the chair fell down the stairs

Seeing Grandma and Grandpa

They came up to see us this weekend and everyone was excited to see them.  Thankful they make the trip to see us and spend time with the girls.  I didn't have the flash on on my phone so they picture isn't the best!

Feed my starving children

Hailey and I went to this place on Saturday to do a service project for her first communion.  We had a great time
 2nd grade girls
Our food packing station - Jess and Meg and me and Hailey - gotta love the hairnets

Our whole group - we were there with 3rd grade brownies and some other people packed 69 boxes of food, which was 14904 meals which will feed 41 kids for a year and the cost of the food is $3279
We were packing food for Uganda

Basketball

Is over - Hailey ended the season with a record high 10 points!  She had a super game and Nana, Kris and I were all there to see it.  So proud of how well she has done this season.

They have equal playing time so Hailey only plays 2 quarters - this is what she does when she is not playing

Date

Maddie always feels like she is left out - is it a middle kid thing?  She asked when she and I could spend some time together.  Today, we went out to lunch together.  When I told her we were going to go on a date she said, "I'm not going to kiss you on the lips."  Oh geez, I think someone has been watching too many teen shows on Nickelodeon!

Pinewood Derby

This weekend was the Indian Princesses Pinewood Derby.  Kris made 2 cars for the girls.
 Maddie's Shine Bright car
 Hailey's shooting star car
Hailey's Indian Princess name is Shooting Star and Maddie's is Shine Bright
 Hailey, Meg and Ella
 Some of the cars

Nana came and watched the girls cars

Afterwards the Dads and their daughters head to a hotel for a party and spend the night.  Kris and Hailey were texting us selfies
Maddie did not go to the hotel this year -she's a little young and her main friend just had her tonsils out so she wasn't going.  We took a selfie and texted it back to Hailey and Kris.
Then Maddie wanted to send another with this St. Patricks Day thing she made.  She's a nut

Maddie's note to her Nana and Papa

Hailey and I got home from shopping for her first communion dress and found that through Kris, Maddie had transcribed a note to Nana and Papa - along with a picture.

"I love you guys.  I wish you were my next door neighbors so we could play together everyday.  I love you Nana.  I love you Papa.  I love you very much.  I wish I was at your house sitting next to you.
Kiss!"

Then she drew a picture of you with her.  Hope that made your day. So when do you want her? :)

Another busy Saturday

I guess that will be the mantra for many years to come, but I keep thinking we might catch our breath someday.  Hailey had her first communion retreat, basketball game and then we headed over to celebrate our friends daughters baptism.  We got there late and I didn't even get a picture of the girl of honor!
 Nana and her youngest
 Kaitlyn loves some grapes
 Ladies having some cake
Three wise men or something like that!
 Dancing queens

these 4- can only imagine the shenanigans they will get into as the grow up together (Maddie, Hailey, Esme and Olivia)
