Yummmm chocolate...

Dinner and shopping

We headed to one of our favorite places for dinner - Uncle Julios Hacienda.

The girls love it for the dough they get to play with and the tortilla maker they get to watch while waiting for our table.

They also love the tradition of going next door to Dicks afterwards to shop around. Maddie is checking out the sunglasses - she has a serious thing for sunglasses!

Lots of stuff outdoors

Park - where we didn't last too long - it was sooo hot!

Hailey tried out her new sprinkler. Maddie wanted nothing to do with it. Here Hailey is trying to touch the head, but has her eyes closed, so she can't see where she is going.

Dad turned the sprinkler off - so Hailey got close and then he started it again. Hailey was done at this point.

End of swim lessons

Maddie had to arrange her barbies to watch her last swimming lessons

Here she is swimming with a kickboard

Hailey had to jump in the deep pool with a lifejacket on and swim in that pool for a period of time.
She was moved onto the next level. There aren't any more lessons for the summer, so we'll have to see about more in the fall.

Hey look mamma

I can lick my toe...

Yeah, that is what Maddie said to me and I turned around to this visual. Then Hailey had to prove that she could do it too. Limber little stinkers.

St. Louis

We drove down to St. Louis to visit with Keith and Amanda. Andy and Erin made the trip too. It was a full house of kids and parents.

All the kiddos playing in Stella's cool playroom.

After we got in and hung out for a little while, we headed to the City Museum. It was not a museum at all. I wish I knew how to explain this place. It was the strangest place I have ever been to. It was a warehouse that was filled with tubes and structures made of iron and wood and other substances for kids to climb, crawl and slide on. We couldn't get over how insane this place was.

There was a whole floor that was a skate park - minus the skateboards. You can see the kids loved sliding down the sides and running around the bottom.

Then we headed up to the roof that was filled with more slides and a bus that half hung off the roof. There was a ferris wheel up there too, that was so old school, we couldn't imagine it was safe. That was kind of a running commentary by all of us - we can't imagine how half the place is safe.

Andy helped Hailey cross the pond and Stella played in one of the fountains

This was a slide and tough to see - but that's Kris in there.

Too of the biggest kids in the place

Hailey and Maddie loved this slide - as long as Dad went down with them. Kris must have climbed up 5-6 times with them and went down. He is such a great dad!

We all gathered for a few minutes before we headed out. The boys tried to decide if they would go down the 10 story slide. They had a slide that took you all the way from the 11th floor we were on, to the bottom. They decided the wait was too long!

Little stop at Grandma and Grandpas

on our way to St. Louis for the weekend. We crashed there on Friday night before heading to Keith and Amanda's on Saturday.

The girls took a little spin through the sprinkler. Hailey just stood with her back to the sprinkler at one point. Maddie didn't really go in at all. Grandpa did run through with her one or two times.

Grandma pulled out their own little table. Here they are having breakfast.

Always trying to capture a good pic of these two...

Another fest

Thursday night, the girls, my mom and I headed to a little fest at the school across from daycare. The girls loved the rides and the fact that half their buddies from daycare were there.

The girls riding together. Wonder how much longer this will last before Hailey leaves her in the dust for her friends.

Hailey and some girls from daycare and one of the girls sisters rode along to watch over the girlies.

Maddie showing off her penguin - you know, from one of those games where you pay and automatically get a prize. I doubt this penguin cost 3 bucks, but Maddie sure was happy with her catch.

Maddie and Nana hanging out while Hailey rides the big kid rides with her friends.
