Goofballs

Some of the funniest times are just sitting around and seeing what these two come up with. They both had phones and at one point their names were Rocky and Ceci. Hailey said, "I have called and texted Ceci and she is not answering." I asked Hailey what texting was and she started typing on her phone. Wow!

Maddie is clearly picking up some things from her big sister

I thought it was so cute they way these two were holding and caring for these little dogs.

DCM

DuPage Childrens Museum - we were supposed to head there last weekend when Hailey was sick, so today, Hailey says, "Can we go to the kids mall?" because she couldn't remember the name. The girls had a blast.

Maddie playing with air gun

Who doesn't love bubbles? I love that the wand is as big as her head

This is Hailey's thinking pose - she is scratching her chin. She also said - "I am the queen"

The wind tunnel is always good for some fun. Maddie was terrified of it at first, but you can see she got over it quickly.

The water table is always a favorite. The girls literally threw water across the table at me and got my pants all wet. Little stinkers!

Auction

Kris and I attended the St. Pius auction this weekend. It was actually pretty nice. We "won" some Hawks tickets and giftcards for the Hyatt and free passes to the Museum of Science and Industry. Kris tried hard to get a vacation during the silent auction - but didn't get one before the bidding went higher than he wanted to pay. The theme was the 80's - so there was a Michael Jackson impersonator - which was pretty hilarious.

Come downstairs - you have to see this

is what Hailey said to Kris and I. We were thinking, "Oh, boy, what have the girls done this time?" and this is what we found

Hailey had taken out all the cubes and placed all the little stuffed animals in the cubes

PreBallet

Hailey started this weekend. We gave her the choice between that and swimming lessons and this is what she chose. She looks all grown up to me in this picture.

Hailey Singing

Hailey didn't participate in the Winter Gala since she is only at Kindercare 2 days of the week, so on the way home, she sang us her own song. She added dance to it when we got home

Winter Gala

Kindercare decided to do a pageant of sorts for the 2 years old and up. They called it the Winter Gala. It was pretty cute.

You can see Maddie's terror, then, I think, relief as she saw us. She ran off to Ms. Jesse before they even got started (as you'll see on the video). I wasn't really sure what to do when she ran off - I couldn't see her. She just stood in front of Ms. Jesse as she tried to remind the kids what to do.

This weekend

We have had a rough weekend. Hailey has been sick much of the weekend. She has had a high fever, but not a whole lot else. The fever comes down with medicine and she acts fine, eats well, laughs, plays, but when that medicine wears off - she has the chills and is pretty miserable. At one point this weekend, she told me, "I feel like butt." I thought that was pretty accurate and amusing.

Some other keepers - Hailey telling me "My eyes are brown - like chooocccoooollaatte - mmmmm. I have chocolate eyeballs"

Maddie bored from being cooped up said to me - "Let's DO something!"

Rousing game of Candyland

Playing at the hotel

Running down the ramp - they find a way to have fun no matter where they go...

Fun times with Grandma and Grandpa

Bubblebutt

I think she has 3 or 4 skirts on here - she said, "I look like a princess?"

Holding court

Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came up for a visit and they were treated to a dance off between Hailey and Maddie

Maddie enjoying her time with Grandma and Grandpa

The DIVA - at one point, I said, "Oh you're dressing up like a princess today?" Her response - "I'm always a princess". Yes, Hailey - you are!

Dancing with ribbons for some reason

Awww

Even our pizza place gets in the Valentine's Day Spirit

Nice surprise

Came home today to 2 boxes - 1 for Hailey and 1 for Madison. They got some presents from Kris' Aunt Pam and Uncle Greg in Alabama. They were so excited, because let's face it, what 4 and 2 year old aren't excited about a wrapped present with their name on it!

Whackamole - AWESOME - action shot and then Dad played a round

Superbowl

Our little superbowl party - 2 happy parents, 2 funny kids, Goetz dip, wings, potato skins - what more could you need?

Someone loves some Goetz dip - licking the bowl clean!

Then we had some superheros roaming our living room

We were treated to our own halftime show as well. At first they were mesmerized by the show, but then we had dancing and booty shaking and the sunglasses came out.
