Maddie always says - Papa, be a pig. She means - be a horse, so they can get on his back and go for a ride. I went to pick them up on Sunday (they spent the night while we were at the auction) and they were revved up as always.

Auction
Saturday night was the auction at St. Pius. The theme was Hats off for education so we were supposed to wear hats. Thanks Cronin's - I got use out of my Christmas hat!
These are Meg's parents - Brad and Jess. Meg is one of Hailey's friends. Brad went all out with a wig and hat - we were giving him quite a hard time. Kris did not bring his hat in - he went out to the car to get it and wear it after some peer pressure. Then everyone wanted to try his hat on.
Nice Surprise
We got this beautiful initialed sweater and hat in the mail from our friends, Andy, Erin and Gage Van Awken. It was a nice little surprise. We have some wonderful friends.
Recital
Saturday, Hailey had her long awaited and first ever dance recital. I was curious to see how she would handle being on stage and whether she would remember her dance. I was SO PROUD of my little girl. She was confident, sassy and knew the dance better than most of the kids in her class. Her hip hop class is kids 5-8 years old, so she is on the younger side of the kids. She had a fantastic time and was very proud of herself. She was also happy to have her own little cheering section of Daddy, Maddie, Kaitlyn, Aunt Kate and Nana. She was such a star!
She is the second from the end
In the group pic she is on the ground with her knee to her chest
Maddie slept through most of the 2 hour recital. The lowered lights apparently made for good napping. Kaitlyn didn't really agree, she kept waking up at the clapping after each act.
Nana and 2 of her girls
Flowers for the girl. She wore her costume all day on Saturday.
Dress Rehearsal
Whew - its finally here. Hailey has been in Hip Hop since September and the recital is this weekend. Friday night we had dress rehearsal.
Hair cuts
We went to Sweet and Sassy for hair cuts on Thursday. I thought the kids hair turned out nice and the girls loved the place. Really, no more expensive than any other place we have been and they get sparkles on their cheeks and balloons. Happy, happy girls.

Baptism - Part 2
I have gotten some great pics from Ashly (Joel's wife) and from my cousin Shannon
Me and my cuz - I love Kaitlyn's head on the side

She snoozed through a good portion of the baptism. I also love Joel smiling in the background

Kaitlyn's Baptism
We were surrounded by our family and friends for Kaitlyn's baptism. It was a wonderful day. We feel so honored that everyone joined us for this special day.
My wedding dress that was made into the Christening gown that all three girls have worn. I had it embroidered with all three of their names and dates of their baptisms.
My girls - love them all so much. We are so blessed
The girls are so loved - their Grandpa and Papa and then Nana and Papa. They are so lucky to have such wonderful loving grandparents.
Daddy and his girl
First off, I should apologize, we ran out of church at the end. We did not even do any posed pictures with the godparents. The whole baptism was so unorganized and chaotic and seemed like it took so long, I just wanted out of there.
Godfather Joel and Godmother Shannon
Kaitlyn was sleeping and just flinched a little from the water being dumped on her head.
One lucky little girl to have such great godparents.
Hanging out with Grandpa
These 2 alternated between being outside and up in Hailey's room.
Aww - look at her looking at Grandma
Kaitlyn's chair proved to be an entertaining place for both Bea and Leo
Leo had a blast with Molly - looks like a dog could be in Megan and Steve's future?
Hanging out after everyone left - in their "fancy" dresses
The dress was embroidered with the girls names and their baptism dates. I am so happy with it. I look forward to passing it down for my girls kids someday and starting a new family tradition. If you need any embroidery done - check out Stitches so Sweet in LaGrange. Jill did a great job on that and some basket liners in our kitchen.
