Hailey got a new table that has a roll of paper for coloring. It's a new creative area in the kitchen. Hailey loves it!

Maiden voyage of the double stroller
We were part of the crazies who hit the malls on the day after Thanksgiving. We were probably the only people who were out there just to be out of the house and who didn't buy a thing. We went to both Yorktown and Oakbrook Mall too. It was the first time out as a whole crew and with the double stroller. It was a pretty successful venture - no major meltdowns and Madison slept the whole time.
Happy Thanksgiving
We spent a quiet Thanksgiving at my parents.
Hailey decided she wanted to sit in Madison's bouncy chair. She was fascinated by the lights. It was funny to see the big kid in the small chair.

The doting big sister
Hailey is obsessed with her baby sister. I guess its obsessed in a good way. She cannot hug her enough. Madison must get a hundred hugs a day from Hailey and it doesn't matter if she is eating or sleeping, Hailey has to give her a hug. Thank goodness Madison sleeps through anything at this point. Hailey also refers to her as "my baby sister." She rarely uses her name. Its funny to hear her constantly say, "I want to hug my baby sister". Occasionally, Kris or I will ask her what her baby sisters name is just to check that she knows it.
Bath time
Hailey helped me give Madison a bath. Hailey doesn't really like baths herself, so she kept crying and saying "I don't want my baby sister to have a bath". That didn't stop her from joining in though. She wanted her own washcloth to help and kept telling Madison, "Don't cry."

Funny little girl
Every night, Kris and Hailey head into the basement to play with Hailey's toys. We never knew one kid could make such a mess, but she does every night in the span of 30 minutes. Anyway, she has some puzzles in the basement. One is of animals and usually we go through what each animal is and what sound they make. She was putting the puzzle back together last night and said, "What's this Mommy?" and I responded to whatever it was - a pig or horse and she said with a great big smile and such pride, "Good job Mommy!" and proceeded to ask me what each one was. After each one, I got the same smile and response of "Good job Mommy!" It cracked me up to have this little girl praising me like we do to her when she gets something right.
More Halloween Pics
Here is Hailey at her Halloween party at school. She had plenty of sweets and lots of fun with her friends. They went trick or treating from room to room. After school we went to Nana's and Papa's to trick or treat. Needless to say, Nana and I trick or treated for Hailey - she became a mute everytime we walked up to someone new.
